I want to install the latest iRedAPD, but to do that I need to upgrade Ubuntu 16.04 to Ubuntu 18.04. Is it safe to perform this update and I will not damage the existing iRedMail configuration in this way? What could be the right way to perform this update?

Is there really no information on how to properly perform this Ubuntu upgrade?

Re: Ubuntu 16.04 to 18.04

- Perform normal OS upgrade with the command/tool offered by Ubuntu system.
- Check log files under /var/log/ to figure out whether there's some error, fix them one by one.

We have tutorials for 14.04->16.04, also 18.04->20.04, but no 16.04->18.04 yet:
https://docs.iredmail.org/upgrade.ubunt … 16.04.html
https://docs.iredmail.org/upgrade.ubunt … 20.04.html

You can paste all issues in this forum, we will try to help as soon as possible. Or, you can pay for remote upgrade support, contact us (https://www.iredmail.org/contact.html ) if you need such support.
