Topic: Postfix Email Client Send Issue

I'm running Postfix 3.3 with Dovecot 2.2 as part of the iRedMail installation.  Mail send and received on the server with RoundCube is working without any issues.  Email on an email client, like Thunderbird, though, is not.  I can only receive email with Thunderbird.  Sent email is resulting in this error:

--------------------------------------------------------------
Sending of the message failed.
The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) mail.rushapp.network timed out. Try again.
--------------------------------------------------------------

The email server is hosted on an AWS EC2 instance.  I've requested that SMTP email be opened up with reverse DNS and they have informed me it should be working.

Here is my Thunderbird Outgoing SMTP setup:

Hostname:  mail.rushapp.network
Port:      587
SSL:       STARTTLS
Auth:      Normal password

Here is the config output for Postfix:

No errors appear in any of the relevant logs.  Although I don't appear to see any entries for the outgoing relay auth either.  Does anyone know what might be wrong?

Re: Postfix Email Client Send Issue

Double check that port 587 is open.

Re: Postfix Email Client Send Issue

Seems i can not connect to "mail.rushapp.network" through ports 25 / 587.
Are they really open by AWS?
