Topic: How to handle DNS, PTR, SPF, DKIM and DMARC for a subdomain?

Hi all,

I would like to run a secondary email server on mx.domain.tld with email info@mx.domain.tld for transactional emails like registration and appointments. I want to leave the regular email server for domain.tld untouched, it should continue as usual.

I checked the official docs about all the DNS settings (https://docs.iredmail.org/setup.dns.html), but I am unsure how to set PTR, SPF, DKIM, DMARC for a subdomain.

Reverse PTR: this can probably work
SPF: setting "mydomain.com" would probably influence my regular mail server. Can I use a subdomain here?
DKIM: setting "dkim._domainkey.mydomain.com" would probably mis-match with the regular mail server. Can I use a subdomain here?
DMARC: setting pure "DMARC" would probably influence my regular mail server. How to set a subdomain?

Is it even possible to set up info@mx.domain.tld which will not be placed directly in spam?

I think it would be great to add the info to the docs.

Cheers
bluepuma

Just replace the main domain name like "example.com" by "sub.example.com" while setting up DNS records for mail domain name "sub.example.com".
