I've used ASSP for years sitting in front of my exchange server.    I'm on a steep learning curve with iRedMail.  Can someone answer a simple question so I don't have to dig too deep:

Is spamassassin deleting messages?  (DO I need to turn it off during my learning period).  Or does spamassassin just flag messages to put in the junk mail folder?

SpamAssassin is called by Amavisd to tag message a score, then Amavisd MAY quarantine it to SQL db if it's a spam/virus, or passes it to user's mailbox. Global sieve rule or user's own sieve rule may move spam to the Junk folder.
