- Linux/BSD distribution name and version: Ubuntu server 18.04 LTS

No problem this time, just questions. The version I'm running is about a year old and I want to upgrade it. Would it be easier to do the micro-upgrades in order to become current, or to load a new server and migrate the data? If I migrate the data, accounts, mail, etc., can I still use the original server while I'm verifying the new one? I haven't done anything like this before on a Linux system and would like to test and become comfortable first.

Just upgrade by following our tutorials:
https://docs.iredmail.org/iredmail.releases.html

Migrating to a new server takes a lot more time.
