Hi, I am having issues receiving emails from instagram to my server domain.

The email works fine everywhere else.

Fcacebook also wouldnt send to a different email using the same domain.

I tried following this post to no avail.

PS; There doesnt seem to be any error messages in the mail.log

I just tried again and this is the error:

May 26 14:12:19 vps634519 postfix/smtpd[12596]: NOQUEUE: reject: RCPT from 69-171-232-143.mail-mail.facebook.com[69.171.232.143]: 554 5.7.1 <69-171-232-143.mail-mail.facebook.com>: Helo command rejected: ACCESS DENIED. Your email was rejected because the sending mail server appears to be on a dynamic IP address that should not be doing direct mail delivery (69-171-232-143); from=<no-reply@mail.instagram.com> to=<myemailaddress@mydomain.net> proto=ESMTP helo=<69-171-232-143.mail-mail.facebook.com>

PREPEND this line in /etc/postfix/helo_access.pcre:

/^\d{1,3}-\d{1,3}-\d{1,3}-\d{1,3}\.mail-(mail|campmail)\.facebook\.com$/ OK

Then reload postfix service. It should fix the issue.

Thanks, I tried following the instructions for 1.4

/^\d{1,3}-\d{1,3}-\d{1,3}-\d{1,3}\.mail-(mail|campmail)\.facebook\.com$/ OK

and the ones for 0.9.9 (mine is 0.9.9)

/^\d{1,3}-\d{1,3}-\d{1,3}-\d{1,3}\.mail-mail\.facebook\.com$/ DUNNO

but that didnt solve the issue.


...any other ideas?

Make sure you use "OK" instead of "DUNNO".
