Topic: iRedadmin login failure

==== REQUIRED BASIC INFO OF YOUR IREDMAIL SERVER ====
- iRedMail version (check /etc/iredmail-release):
- Deployed with iRedMail Easy or the downloadable installer?
- Linux/BSD distribution name and version:
- Store mail accounts in which backend (LDAP/MySQL/PGSQL):
- Web server (Apache or Nginx):
- Manage mail accounts with iRedAdmin-Pro?
- [IMPORTANT] Related original log or error message is required if you're experiencing an issue.
====
iRedmail  1.1.1 installed downloadable tarball
Ubunutu 20 headless on a KVM
Mysql backend
Webserver nginx

I've been stupid with my  install and have put an asterix * in the postmaster email, so it reads "postmaster@*mydomain.com
Not unreasonably. I now can't log in to iRedadmin, using the address /password in iRedmail-tips.

There's no log  recorded in /var/log/uwsgi/app/

Looking in nginx error.log  I see several lines suggesting missing files  from  /var/www/htmll/www.mydomain
Can I symlink from the domain to  the iredadmin files?

The iRedadmin login page is loading OK

Can you please help me get out of this mess?
Thanks
Russell

Re: iRedadmin login failure

Well, I've been able to  sort out the problem.
Thanks to more reading on the forum, I was pointed to the "tools" in the iRedmail download and in particular "create_mail_user_SQL.sh" and  also the instructions at https://docs.iredmail.org/promote.user. … admin.html

Took a bit of refreshing my minimal mysql knowledge, but eventually sorted and I can now log in to  the iRedadmin page.

Anyway there are some pointers there if anyone has a similar problem.
