Error XXX - you are not fully authenticated to the server.  (and then it sends no mail.)

I have gotten that error in iRed as well as other client programs (with different servers.)  I don't understand how logging in to the SMTP server, and the log says Authentication Successful, it's still seeing something insecure.  If anyone knows how to fix this problem please let me know!

Steve

Re: "Not fully authenticated"

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.  In all the servers and clients I've used I use STARTTLS without exception.  Even the SMTP server dialog reported 'Authentication Successful'.  I'm getting this ding from mail checker websites, but how do they know I'm authenticated or think I'm not?  It's very odd.

Best Regards,

Steve
