Topic: SMTP Error (451): Failed to add recipient CentOS

hello,

we are talking about the CentOS 5.6 64 Bit ...

while waiting for upgrade to pro ver I tested the free ver and I received following error from roundcube.
SMTP Error (451): Failed to add recipient "xxx@hotmail.com" (4.3.5 Server configuration problem)

The log:

I found the more or less the same problem on another post on this forum but it was a debian linux....

iRedAPD service is not running. Could you try to start it manually?

# /etc/init.d/iredapd restart

And make sure it will be started automatically when system start up:

# chkconfig --level 345 iredapd on

now I receive the message Mail Sent, so it`s ok, but the email never reach the destination.... not sure what causes this ??

What do you mean? You didn't receive mails which were sent before restarting iredapd?

I mean when I restarted the iredpad and tried to send the email I got the message Email Sent Successfully...
BUT this email which is sent, I never received it... in short words, it seems that server is sending the email BUT email never reaches the destination... like it`s not sent at all, but the roundcube says that email is sent...

You should check postfix maillog and dovecot log file to check what happened:
/var/log/maillog
/var/log/dovecot.log
/var/log/sieve.log

log says nothing to me, can`t see what`s wrong..... could be something with hosting provider and running centOS on Virtuzzo ?
I know from my experience when You are running virtual machine on virtuzzo, there is something wired for example:

You cannot change the hostname
iptables goes crazy
You cannot adjust the clock time-date

what more could be god knows...

Amavisd service is not running. That's why you can't receive mails.
Try this:

# /etc/init.d/amavisd restart
