Topic: Outlook EAS needs to login via IMAP first

==== REQUIRED BASIC INFO OF YOUR IREDMAIL SERVER ====
- iRedMail version (check /etc/iredmail-release): 1.6.0
- Deployed with downloadable installer
- Linux/BSD distribution name and version: Debian 11
- Store mail accounts in which backend (LDAP/MySQL/PGSQL): MySQL
- Web server (Apache or Nginx): Nginx
- Manage mail accounts with iRedAdmin-Pro? YES
- [IMPORTANT] Related original log or error message is required if you're experiencing an issue.
====

After creating new user (via iRedAdmin PRO) with all SoGo services enabled there will be no new mails in Outlook 2016/2019 configured with EAS until you log in into mail box via IMAP (or web interface Roundcube)

Any ideas how we could  get rid of this side effect?

Re: Outlook EAS needs to login via IMAP first

This is interesting.

- Dovecot creates user's mailbox on file system when user first logs in via POP3/IMAP service, not right after you created the account with iRedAdmin-Pro (it just adds required SQL records).
- SOGo accesses user's mailbox via IMAP service, not via file/directory operations on file system directly, so IDEALLY when user first login to EAS, Dovecot should create the mailbox automatically.

I suggest report to SOGo mailing list or bug tracker instead:

Re: Outlook EAS needs to login via IMAP first

This is true! And new mail box is successfully created!  (I can see new folders on filesystem)
However new mails appears in Outlook only after I login via IMAP explicitly (from any mail client - RoundCube for example)
