We have 20000 mailboxes in Zimbra and planning to shift to Iredmail. 1000 users will be online at any point of time. Can Iredmail take this load? What are your suggestions for sizing and which backend to choose?

Re: Large installations

Hi Zhang,

Currently Zimbra is running fine with CPU: 8 Sockets(1 core per socket )  and RAM: 8 GB. As Zimbra is storing mails metadata in mariadb, its faster in rendering. What performance guidelines and sizing you suggest for larger installations.

Re: Large installations

If Zimbra is fine, then iRedMail should be fine too.

Re: Large installations

Hi Zhang
What do you suggest for larger installations: LDAP/MySQL/PGSQL for performance based on your experience?

Re: Large installations

pgsql performs better with very large datasets and heavy concurrent read/write operations
