Topic: config issues, looking to reset

==== REQUIRED BASIC INFO OF YOUR IREDMAIL SERVER ====
- iRedMail version (check /etc/iredmail-release):
- Deployed with iRedMail Easy or the downloadable installer?
- Linux/BSD distribution name and version:
- Store mail accounts in which backend (LDAP/MySQL/PGSQL):
- Web server (Apache or Nginx):
- Manage mail accounts with iRedAdmin-Pro?
- [IMPORTANT] Related original log or error message is required if you're experiencing an issue.
====

I myself trusted my server to iRedMail, and now it is broken. I did try reaching out for help and all i got was shade for not "doing it right", I would rather just get rid of IredMail (I know that is not easy considering the core install leaches onto the box like a bad virus) then have to nuke the box. Ideally I want to fix or at least bypass the problem issue "Amavisd-new" so there is less downtime. I am kind of frustrated here. I tried commenting out the problem file and restarting the server, but to no affect.

Eventually Ill just nuke the entire box so we can get back in line, and avoid installing something I cant admin properly

Any help would be great, if you see something in those pics, please SAY something!

Re: config issues, looking to reset

Dude, i already gave you the answer in another post:

you forgot to change @dkim_signature_options_bysender_maps, it still looks for mydomain.com which is not defined and thus crashes

you defined a dkim key for whynotgus.com, but in the catchall you refer to a non defined domain, then you changed it but commented out everything, which isn't working because DKIM singing is done via policy banks and is enabled by default, if you don't set up a dkim key, it fails

so, why did you comment out dkim cheking aswell?

and you didn't post any error logs, just part of the config file

Look, I told you I am not an admin for linux, I am not super well versed on the OS, but again I wanted to try to fix it myself, as I know I broke it. Ill tell you years ago I "learned" Linux by having people login and copy and do stuff, obviously that didnt do anything but make me a "Script kiddy" which leaves me useless to setup and admin this new system they put in.

That all being said I DO NOT want people to "do it for me" but guidance and understanding is what I need to fix this, I am not saying I want a hand holding. Ill do the work.

FYI: If anyone reading this is well skilled in Linux and has a suggestion for a crash course to get stronger I will take it (paid or otherwise).

Ok so lets take it step by step

1. you keep referencing @dkim_signature_options_bysender_maps, and I thought in my latest post I did change it.
2.  I just read the entire page at ( know I cant link so Ill just give the title of the page)" Hands-on: implementing SPF, DKIM and DMARC in Postfix", and I understand what you were saying, so I will take a solid look at the conf file again
3. as for logs, which logs, linux is full of logs, do you want the postfix logs, the sendmail logs, an iredmail log, an amavis log, maybe the auth log , the connection log,

As you can see I want to fix this as I am sure the resulting setup will be far stronger in sending reputation then just having it sit on a DNS record, but I need to work through what I screwed up,

I am willing to do that with some help, if someone would be so kind as to do so, no I am not asking for anyone to login, or any of that stuff, I need to figure this out.

when I have clarification on the logs requested, we can proceed, in the mean time I will re read that article and try to see where I errored!

Re: config issues, looking to reset

It would have appeared to have been fixed, however it sent one email then the whole thing went kaput again

Its monday so I am using complex words lol

The issue seems to be in this area, I have gone over everything like 50 times, according to what I can find on the internet this is the correct syntax, and the DEFINE is in place to call the cert file and for the domain, but it keeps telling me there is an error in the code

Strange thing is the error line is supposed to be below this, yet no matter what i change it does not fix it.

Can someone look at this screenshot and tell me if any code looks out of place, its likely just ONE character somewhere

UPDATE: 08:14 am (Arizona)

The interface on the web (iRedMail admin and roundcube) is now back again, but mail obviously is not being routed,

Re: config issues, looking to reset

is the dkim key valid?

did you do amavisd-new showkeys to verify?

aswell, your domain doesn't have a dkim record online, i just checked it
