iRedMail → iRedMail Support → SMTP Error
I just finished installing on ubuntu 10.4. I created an email user and I can login to roundcube from a desktop but when I go and send an email I get the following error in roundcube. "SMTP: Connection to server failed" Looking for some help, please.

Now I am able to send an email from webmail(roundcube) to an external address but when I reply to the user from outside network I get the following error.
The error that the other server returned was: 550 550 5.1.1 <testnewserver@domain.ca>: Recipient address rejected: User unknown in local recipient table (state 14).
Idea's? Pretty new to this. Any help appreciated.
- Do you have correct DNS settings for your mail server? A and MX records.
- What's the error log in your server (/var/log/mail.log)?
We are using ppoe connection, dns,A and MX are done by our internet provider.
I just copied from when the email was sent out and then the reply.

Does it means you're not using a static IP address on your mail server?
I created the user using the iredAdmin panel.
Yes we get a static ip when connected. Our website is functional when connected as well.
