Topic: Call for Testing: FreeBSD with pre-built official binary packages
Dear Community,
We’re excited to announce a significant improvement in the latest development edition of iRedMail: FreeBSD support has been enhanced to install all packages from official pre-built binary packages instead of the ports tree. This change dramatically reduces installation time and simplifies package management.
To ensure everything works smoothly before the next stable release, we need your help to test the installation and functionality.
How to Test
1. Setup a clean FreeBSD 14.2 (amd64) machine (or VM, VPS, etc).
2. Download latest iRedMail development edition: https://github.com/iredmail/iRedMail/ar … ds/pkg.zip
3. Install downloaded iRedMail package. The procedure is almost same as stable version: https://docs.iredmail.org/install.iredm … eebsd.html
Please share your feedback or issues encountered during testing. Your input is invaluable for a polished stable release!
Thank you for your support,
The iRedMail Team
