Topic: iRedMail EE try - questions before buy

-  Does Mailing Lists and Mail Aliases count for the [per user pay] option?  Postmaster@ ?

-  How Mailing Lists and Mail Aliases differ?  Both can send email to internal and external addresses.

Thanks

- Only mail user accounts (a.k.a. mailbox) are counted in license.
- postmaster@ is counted, but you can create a standalone admin account and promote it to be global admin, them remove postmaster@.

Mailing list account is managed with mlmmj mailing list manager.
Mail alias is like mail forwarding.

Re: iRedMail EE try - questions before buy

Thank you.  Can I add later e.g. 5 accounts, or there is a minimum there too (10)?

There is always a good idea of a separate [admin] account in complex domains (with a lot of admin traffic), so I will leave it.

I cannot find a web page to admin [mlmmj] lists, is it any?  I found the command line directives in the project pages.  But /var/spool/mlmmj/ is empty.

Thanks again.

Minimal 10 mailboxes, you're free to buy more later.

You can create a subscribable mailing list, it's managed by mlmmj, then go to mailing list profile page.

Re: iRedMail EE try - questions before buy

Thanks.

I somehow managed to erase the 2FA line from google authenticator, and now I cannot log in!  How do I remove the 2FA please?

Re: iRedMail EE try - questions before buy

On Debian 12, run commands below to remove 2FA:

apt -y install sqlite3
cd /opt/iredmail/conf/
sqlite3 settings.db "delete from totp where mail='your-email'"

Thanks Zhang, I reinstalled everything with SQL this time, but your help is of great value.
I will have two (2) admins in the future to avoid such a mesh...
It is also very nice to have full 30 days to "play" before proceed to move to a "production" server.
