Topic: question about the domain name

I was following the instruction to configure the Mail Server

in the preparations step i have set my hostname to mail.mydomain.com
$ hostname -f
mail.mydomain.com

but when i install iRedMail, it told me cannot use the same hostname?
What can i do? Thanks a lot.

Your server hostname could be whatever you want, but the email domain which used in your email address cannot be the SAME as your server hostname.

So, if you have to use 'mail.mydomain.com' as your email address domain (@mail.mydomain.com), please change your server hostname.
