====Hello,

Installed iRedmail on a fresh Amazon EC2 instance.
Roundcube works when I enter the public DNS address noted in Amazon for the instance. e.g. ec2.xyz.xyz.xyz...com/mail
Though, when enter the hostname, roundcube page says DATABASE ERROR: CONNECTION FAILED!
All TCP ports in the Amazon security group are left open just in case.
It seems like a grant access issue.
Any ideas?

Re: error in roundcube DATABASE ERROR: CONNECTION FAILED!

iRedMail grants SQL user on 'localhost' by default, maybe you want to grant for other host?

what is the SQL username that it uses to connect with?

Re: error in roundcube DATABASE ERROR: CONNECTION FAILED!

Check Roundcube config file to figure it out: /usr/share/apache2/roundcubemail/config/db.inc.php.

Re: error in roundcube DATABASE ERROR: CONNECTION FAILED!

At last i can run iredmail and run my mail server mail.deshipro.com
But after i logged in to the server with my postmaster account and created some mail address, all on a sudden it's showing me database error, connection failed.

So what's the issue now?

Check the sql server, make sure it's running.
