Topic: why gmail?

Out of curiosity, why is contact email, for what apear to be a very good email system, set to be gmail?

I would like it and trust more if contact email would be  at-iredmail.org.
It would show that maker also belive that iredmail product is good for its own use.

iRedmail is open source project .

all the project members would use own email address and would convince.
