Topic: New Installation - First Experience

I am at my first experience with iredmail.
I have a new pc so I have to decide which s.o. is the best.
I decide to install ubuntu 12.04 lts
Do u have any suggestion about Desktop or Server? or the current version is better?
I'd like to have the minimun apllication running for a mailserver (webserver included)

Ubuntu 12.04 LTS is fine if you're familiar with Ubuntu.
