Not a Linux power user but comfortable with the CLI and file system.  Installed Debian fresh and without Postfix, SQL etc., then went through the on-line docs for installing iRedMail on Debian.  Everything seemed okay until the final command: bash iRedMail.sh gives the following errors:
  E: Unable to locate package postfix-cluebringer
  E: Unable to locate package postfix-clubringer-mysql
  E: Package 'dovecot-managesieved' has no installation candidate

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

have you check your repository / sources.list ?

Thanks for the info, certainly explains the errors. I'm not clear on the solution however, mainly because the comments in that link imply an understanding of Linux beyond what I have.  I'm not married to Debian, perhaps the better solution is to throw a different distro on and in which case do you recommend one over the others?

i'm using ubuntu LTS 12.4

highly recommended by the developer, as described on the main pages in this website
