Topic: VPS problem and data lost

Hi
I have had a major issue with a VPS provider I use and they have lost all my email server data, they are unable to restore the server so I am moving providers . I use backuppc to backup the server and I have current backup of /etc /home /var /usr . what is the best way to restore the clients emails to the new server once I have set it up . Thanks

Ideally, you should have backup for mail accounts under /var/vmail/backup, and mailboxes under /var/vmail/vmail1. With these two directory, you can successfully restore your mail server.

I have a an up to date backup of those folders , once i get the new server installed and up I will follow the directions in the link provided.
