Topic: Change hostname/FQND?

==== Required information ====
- iRedMail version: 0.8.7
- Store mail accounts in which backend (LDAP/MySQL/PGSQL): LDAP
- Linux/BSD distribution name and version: CentOS 6.5
- Related log if you're reporting an issue: na
====

Is it possible to change the hostname as I want to use an other one? Or will this cause issues, like the cert used etc.

Is it better to reinstall everything from scratch again? How to to that anyway? Without reinstalling OS....

Re: Change hostname/FQND?

It's ok to change server hostname. You need to update:

- Postfix config file (main.cf)
- Amavisd config file (amavisd.conf, search your old server hostname)
- SSL certificate

Re: Change hostname/FQND?

Don't forget to add A (and PTR, if possible) record in DNS for this new server hostname.
