Hi,

I could need some advice for an upgrade of iRedMail.
Currently running 0.7.0-beta2 on Debian 6.0.5.

What is the better choice to upgrade.
- Go through all updates one by one
- Migrate to new server

And one question regarding the normal upgrade path.
Do I have to run the installer from each of the version steps, and then check the upgrade doc was has changed.

Reason I'm asking is as the root upgrade doc says

Usually, upgrading iRedMail is just updating some config files to achieve new features or fix bugs, you do NOT need to download the latest iRedMail and run the script.

But when I checked the first upgrade release notes it says several files/version are updated:

But the upgrade doc only says to upgrade a single file:

So this is a little bit misleading.
Any help is much appreciated.

Since you are on the beta, there are no official upgrade instructions for you, but the main branch ones should mostly apply, and I agree that the upgrade to 0.71 seems misleading, I could personally help you out with a migration if you'd like.

Beta/rc releases are not recommended for production use, because we don't provide upgrade tutorials for them, and it might be buggy.

Personally, I think you can upgrade this server by following upgrade tutorials for final releases:

Check upgrade tutorials for iRedMail-0.7.0 first.

I only need to know if I have to run the setup script for each version upgrade.
Looking at the release notes for each of them, I should have to, as almost all of them have updates to existing packages.

No you do not, as that is an Initial Installer Script only
Existing Package updates are done via the System Package Manager, such as Apt for Ubuntu
