Topic: IRedMail Active Directory integration and Mail Storage Questions

Hi,

I'm considering buying IRedMail-Pro but I'm having trouble finding the answers to my questions.

If I want to integrate IRedMail pro into my Active Directory, what version of IRedMail Pro do I need? The Open-LDAP one?

I also want to store our email messages inside of a MySQL database, so I can replicate it somewhere else as a backup. Can this be done on the Open-LDAP version?

iRedAdmin-Pro doesn't work with Active Directory, so if you integrate iRedMail with Active Directory, you don't need iRedAdmin-Pro.

You may try DBMail instead: http://www.dbmail.org/
It's a POP3/IMAP/LMTP server, and it stores mail messages in SQL database (MySQL, PGSQL, ...).

We have an OLD integration tutorial for you here:

Note: this document may be out of date, use it on your own.

By the way, there're other ways to backup your mailboxes, not just storing in SQL database.
