I have installed iredmail.
Can send mail externally/internally with roundcube.
Can receive internally roundcube.
Cannot receive from external as my mail is routed through gmail
Cannot pull mail to my desktop through outlook/thunderbird.

I understand that there may be a sieve rule for pulling from gmail, after looking at the filters secrtion on my own account, it looks like there is some sort of script needed, no clue what the hell to do for that, also would not want to do this for 60+ users. Is there a better way? Is there a way to do this from the admin panel for all users?

In addition to that, i am trying to configure my mail client to send/receive mail. I am moving from a traditional Linux mail server to this and had no issues before. now i get username/password issues. Using webmail is not going to cut it and I need to be able to download messages and prefer to not keep anything on the server.

Help?

To pull emails from Gmail, you need program like 'fetchmail' or 'getmail':
http://www.fetchmail.info
http://pyropus.ca/software/getmail/

Or, configure Gmail account to forward emails to your iRedMail server.
