Hello community

1. I have installed iredmail on a fresh server and working great. However i am having issues with receiving mails initiated from Joomla 3.4.1 website.

2. I have updated my site to Joomla 3.4.1 recently. I have mailserver on another server and installed and configured iredmail. Working and sending and receiving emails.

3. Everything else is working except sending mails to iredmail server. The Joomla site has three options for mails - a) PHPMail b) Sendmail c) SMTP. I have tried all three options with different settings and everytime mails are sent to all users except the iredmail server.

Just to summarise the issue -

1. Iredmail server is working fine and sending and receiving all emails except the mails initiated from my joomla site
2. I have tried disabling plugins in settings.py but could not fix the issue.
3. I tried with disabling firewall but without success
4. I have checked the logs and it seems iredmail is blocking certain mails

Can someone guide me what could be the reason snd how do i fix it...?

The point is how you configure Joomla to send email. Please show us detailed settings. You should use c) SMTP option.

Thanks for you reply. This is my settings in Joomla -

Send Mail = Yes
Mailer * = SMTP
From email = My Email
From Name = My Name
Disable Mass Mail = No
SMTP Authentication = No
SMTP Security = None
SMTP Port * = 587
SMTP Username = My Username
SMTP Password = My Password
SMTP Host = localhost

With this settings I get the message in Joomla that sending mail is successful. If I change any of the above settings I get the smtp connection error.

A quick reply from ZHang will be appreciated. Thanks again...
