Hello,

Two days ago, I started getting around 300 emails in the postmaster inbox, which shows the following error. I haven't done any changes in the server, But this happens everyday. Could you please help me to fix this error ? Thanks.

=====================================================
Error while processing /etc/awstats/awstats.web.conf
Create/Update database for config "/etc/awstats/awstats.web.conf" by AWStats version 7.0 (build 1.971)
From data in log file "/var/log/apache2/access.log"...
Phase 1 : First bypass old records, searching new record...
Direct access after last parsed record (after line 193)
AWStats did not find any valid log lines that match your LogFormat parameter, in the 50th first non commented lines read of your log.
Your log file /var/log/apache2/access.log must have a bad format or LogFormat parameter setup does not match this format.
Your AWStats LogFormat parameter is:
4
This means each line in your web server log file need to have "common log format" like this:
111.22.33.44 - - [10/Jan/2001:02:14:14 +0200] "GET / HTTP/1.1" 200 1234
And this is an example of records AWStats found in your log file (the record number 50 in your log):
95.0.47.67 - - [18/Aug/2015:21:49:00 +0000] "\x03" 403 264 "-" "-"
Setup ('/etc/awstats/awstats.web.conf' file, web server or permissions) may be wrong.
Check config file, permissions and AWStats documentation (in 'docs' directory).

What's the permission of file '/etc/awstats/awstats.conf?

Did you update any packages?

# ls /etc/awstats/awstats.conf -al
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 61740 Jul  3  2014 /etc/awstats/awstats.conf

No. Absolutely not. This error started coming all of a sudden, which is weird. By the way, Thanks for your help.

Re: Error

No idea. There must be something changed, you should figure it out first.

Did you change any Apache setting? or Awstats config files?

No I didn't change anything on the server at all.

By the way, The subject of the emails shows:
Cron <www-data@sunrise> [ -x /usr/share/awstats/tools/update.sh ] && /usr/share/awstats/tools/update.sh

Is there any clue ?

Thanks.
