Hi,
I would like to restore the folder "Sent".
It is not a new server.
I see that all of my backup are in: /var/vmail/backup/mysql/2015/09/10 (am I correct?)
I have two file:
- vmail-2015-09-10-03:30:01.sql
- vmail-2015-09-10-03:30:01.sql.bz2
How to restore only "sent" ?
Do I have to restore the full DB or can I only choose what tables (sent) to restore ?

Thx

Re: [Resolved] Restore "sent folder"

SQL db contains mail accounts, but no mailboxes. So you can NOT restore 'Sent' (or any other) folder with this SQL backup.

Re: [Resolved] Restore "sent folder"

is it one of the difference between the pro version and the normal of iredadmin ?
is there any solution to include the mailboxe"s ?

Re: [Resolved] Restore "sent folder"

*) iRedMail doesn't backup mailboxes, you have to backup it yourself. e.g. rsync.
*) iRedAdmin-Pro is a web-based admin panel, it doesn't backup mailboxes too.

I meant tools ships with iRedAdmin-Pro smile
When searching for Maildir, I am going to: /var/vmail/vmail1/domain.ltd
In this domain folder, I am able to find the Maildir for my users .... But there is plenty dovecot's folders but nothing link to emails ... Where are all mailboxes exactly ?
Thx

Re: [Resolved] Restore "sent folder"

*) You can ignore files which have names start with 'dovecot.'. e.g. dovecot.index, etc. it's internal data used by Dovecot.
*) Most mail folders are hidden, you need to list them with command 'ls -a'. e.g. sent folder is '.Sent'.

Re: [Resolved] Restore "sent folder"

Hi,
*) I have used "unison" to backup the Mysql DB and my emails:

# Unison preferences file

root = /var/vmail
root = ssh://remote_ip:port_number//home/user/folder_where_to_bck

path = vmail1/domain.ltd
path = backup/mysql

*) It could be very nice, to add in your documentation on how to to a"backup/restore" data the information that mailboxes are not backuped ....

Thx
