hi, i noticed after upgrading to iredmail 0.9.9 (~1 month ago) the iredapd.log is empty, even if i set log level to debug it's empty.
ii tried to restart iredapd and i deleted the empty iredapd.log

i don't really know what else to do, is this a knwon issue?

iRedAPD should be running, it's jus the log might be logged to other log file due to we switch to syslog in recent iRedAPD releases.

- is it logged to /var/log/dovecot/dovecot.log? or /var/log/syslog?
- Check file /etc/rsyslog.d/1-dovecot.conf, what's the last 2 lines in this file? Compare with this file: https://bitbucket.org/zhb/iredmail/src/ … vecot.conf

And yes, I can find the Log in /var/log/dovecot/dovecot.log

Can I just apply your file?

Please just update line 22 in YOUR file, it should be:

if $syslogfacility-text == 'local5' and $programname startswith "dovecot" then -/var/log/dovecot/dovecot.log

Then restart "rsyslog" service.
