Topic: How could I really turn off ClamAV?

I've been searching for a way to really really turn off ClamAV, tried some but it doesn't work. Seems that there are several ways to do that and many people have problems with one option or another. Has anyone actually accomplish to turn off the virus scan? Or is there some sort of checklist of all the steps required to finally do it?
