I've been searching for a way to really really turn off ClamAV, tried some but it doesn't work. Seems that there are several ways to do that and many people have problems with one option or another. Has anyone actually accomplish to turn off the virus scan? Or is there some sort of checklist of all the steps required to finally do it?

Here you can see that is not as simple as it looks:

- https://forum.iredmail.org/topic15946-c … olved.html
- https://forum.iredmail.org/post70253.html#p70253
... and there are more posts and articles about it all aroung Google

If anyone has a clue about how to certainly do it I'll be very grateful! smile

Thanks, that's the first content I saw about it, but it also disables SpamAssasin.
I just want to disable the ClamAV hmm

Seems you didn't read it carefully. You can set below line in amavisd config file to disable ClamAV.

@bypass_virus_checks_maps = (1);

I read it carefully and it happened just as the other person. It still shows up in a daily report with a 100% of messages checked for viruses hmm

You need to check whether amavisd was actually calling ClamAV for virus scanning. We cannot use logwatch output for troubleshooting.
