Hello,

I've backup and restore a server on a new machine and everything works fine except the subject column in iredadmin Pro sometime reports <<< DECODE FAILED >>>. See attached file.

This happen for half the emails in the Received,Sent and Quarantined section.

Any ideas what might cause this ?

Thanks

Could you help extract this SQL record from SQL table "amavisd.msgs"? I'd like to check its "subject".

Re: Decode failed in Subject column

Here's what the subject look like in amavisd msgs table for one of the message which have a DECODE FAILED:

This is not a valid encode/decoded subject.
It's possible that the sender didn't compose it correctly (mostly spammer), hence no way to properly decode it.

Don't panic, if something is wrong, it could be the data source, not only the iRedAdmin-Pro part. smile
