Please forgive me as I get all of the tech-speak wrong in this email:
I have a PBX in my basement running Asterisk (IncrediblePBX). I have iRedMail running on a cloud VPS.
The PBX sends emails to users with voicemail attachments; it presently uses GMail as a relay host (I believe this is correct nomenclature). The PBX uses sendmail.
Gmail is threatening to pull access from insecure apps - of which the PBX would be one. Since I have my own mail server I might as well change away before they cut me off (if ever).
What settings do I need to google/find a how-to on the iRedMail side?
What do I need to set on the PBX in my sendmail.cf or other files to correctly send an email which iRedMail will forward along?
Thanks so much.
Andrew
