Topic: Cannot log into Roundcube 1.6.0

Hi
Just finished upgrading iremail and ireadmin to the latest versions.
Thought I would also upgrade RoundCube to 1.6.0 ( currently on 1.5.3).
But after the upgrade and fixing the line for "$config["auto_create_user"] = true;" it still will not allow  me to log in., reverted back to 1.5.3 and all is working again.

Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Zhang,

I have reinstall roundcube 1.6 and can log in, but now I cannot send any emails.
I get the following error
"Connection Error (failed to reach the server)!"

I made a backup copy of the RC1.5.3 cna compared the config
I check the config with the original one  before  and there is no difference between them.
I have attached the error messages and the config file.
These are the last few lines of the mail.log file

Roundcube 1.6.0 introduces few breaking changes: https://github.com/roundcube/roundcubem … /tag/1.6.0

1) /opt/www/roundcubemail/config/config.inc.php

- Remove smtp_server and smtp_port parameters , add new parameter "smtp_host".
- Remove default_host and default_port, add "imap_host".
- Set auto_create_user to true (default value is false). Otherwise newly created mail users can not login to Roundcube.

$config["smtp_host"] = "tls://127.0.0.1:587";
$config["imap_host"] = "tls://127.0.0.1:143";
$config['auto_create_user'] = true;

2) /opt/www/roundcubemail/plugins/managesieve/config.inc.php

- Remove managesieve_port and managesieve_usetls, add new parameter "managesieve_host".

$config["managesieve_host"] = "tls://127.0.0.1:4190";
