Re: Emails missing and Can't send email after Roundcube Upgrade

Did you upgrade from 1.4.1 or 1.4.2? You have to upgrade to each level between where you were and the most current version to which you want to upgrade.

It's a good idea to test at the end of each upgrade version to see if everything still works properly before progressing to the next version.

I had a similar problem when I did my first upgrade. We still had all the email available, but the send button was non-operative. My problem was that I did not download the correct RoundCube file. Make sure you download the "complete" file, i.e. roundcubemail-VERSION-complete.tar.gz and not just the roundcubemail-VERSION.tar.gz file or the framework file.

You may want to restore your server from a backup and verify functionality. Then perform each upgrade as it is listed on the documentation page. Verify that each update works for both sending and receiving mail. Perhaps reboot the server each time just to be absolutely sure.

Let us know how it goes.

Re: Emails missing and Can't send email after Roundcube Upgrade

I did upgrade iRedMail version 1.5.0 from 1.5.1.

As per iredmail document (upgrade.iredmail.1.5.0-1.5.1), they say "Upgrade Roundcube webmail to the latest stable release (1.5.2)". My OS is CentOS 7 . CentOS 7 can handle only Roundcube webmail 1.5.2.

My Previous Roundcube wemail version - 1.4.12
Upgraded Roundcube webmail version - 1.5.2

I will try and upgrade from roundcube 1.4.12 to 1.5.0 first.
Thank you for your comment @mrimichael . I really appreciate it.

Re: Emails missing and Can't send email after Roundcube Upgrade

i found the root cause. It is "error Specified key was too long; max key length is 767 bytes" issue .

I did restart mariadb after changes in /etc/my.cnf as per below  before roundcubemail upgrade.

innodb_large_prefix=ON innodb_file_format=Barracuda
